Become an Application Engineer at SLM Solutions, where you will work with the company with the leading metal 3D printing technology in the exciting and growing global additive manufacturing market. We are looking for candidates to work at our Singapore office.

 

Job Overview

Reporting to the Lead Application Engineer, responsible for a range of application business, including sustaining a high level of quality and productivity in our AM facility; providing fast and reliable support to customers; and delivering high quality technical training to attendees.

 

Responsibilities

An SLM Solutions’ Application Engineer is a key role in various technical responsibilities within SLM Solutions Singapore, which are mainly 1) In-house printing, 2) Customer support, 3) Application Training.

The successful candidate will receive training on SLM machines and knowledge. He or she will be responsible in the following technical areas:

1) IN-HOUSE PRINTING

· Engage in machine operation for productivity and cost effectiveness

· Prepare build data of CAD models with AM software

· Engage in post processing activities like inspection, depowdering, cleaning and support removal to complete part finishing

· Engage in routine calibrations and maintenance on equipment, including cleaning of machinery, and general housekeeping

· Ensure high reliability, up-time and quality in the AM facility including associated metal powder handling process

· Engage in troubleshooting part quality issues

· Engage in quality control of produced parts

2) CUSTOMER SUPPORT

· Provide first-level support to existing customers with the focus on customer requests and continuous improvements

· Document challenges and updates based on customer feedback

3) APPLICATION TRAINING

· Provide high quality application training for customers

· Improve training contents constantly with revised knowledge

4) OTHERS

· Document knowledge related to application topics and skills

· Engage in application projects to develop more application cases

· Regularly report achievements and challenges

 

Travel

10% (Japan, South Korea & Southeast Asia)

 

Candidate Requirements

· Bachelor or Diploma degree holder in the related fields

· 1 – 2 years’ working experience in the related fields

· Demonstrated passion in 3D printing/additive manufacturing

· Strong analytical and communication skills

· Customer-centric, progressive and proactive mindset

· Independent and adaptable, team player
